SHOE HAUL: KMART

I should know by now, that every time I 'pop' into Kmart I am most likely going to leave with a purchase being made. Today though, I was extremely happy to have repeated this system.

Strolling by the shoe area for myself isn't usually a dangerous venture, because you see, I'm a handbag lady. Yes, I find I am most passionate being near handbags...handbag sales in stores are absolutely dangerous for my impulsive buyer side so I avoid them...when I can.

The below shoes were all $5, I've tried them all on, and every single one of them is SUPER comfy! I also purchased a long sleeve, maroon in colour shirt for $3. So in total I handed over $28.00 (AU) for 5x pairs of shoes and 1x long sleeve shirt.

If you're not aware, I am 5'7" in height and wear a size 10 ladies shoe. It's not the easiest thing in the world to find my size when I find a shoe that I would love to wear. So to find my size shoe in every single style of shoe that I loved was...amazing to say the least.

What's your greatest haul story? Let me know in the comments below

Until next time,

Make like a bird, CHEAP!

When you need a little more then Mr. Good Luck bear to get you out of trouble.

Whether your budget is a skinny Minny or a little more comfortable this year/month/week, it never hurts to review it and see where you could possibly 'trim' some excess from.

Take weddings for example, flicking through pages of a $15.00 Bridal magazine (borrowed from a family member) I started to see a trend. Weddings are expensive, but not for very good reasons at all.

Queue the: Best day of your life, spend as much as you can to make it memorable.

The idea of having a simple wedding for some is more a 'if we can't afford our DREAM wedding we'll settle for simple.' This is quite an absurb way of viewing not only your 'BIG' day but also your finances. Shop around! Im not just targeting wedding spendings, I'm talking about day to day basics, one off purchases and those 'lifetime investments'. We need to shop around much more.

Simple isn't always cheap but it can be much cheaper then our complicated ways of handling finance, in fact its just another way of looking at the exact same circumstance just in a less complicated way. You're not settling for less, you're investing in your financial future by cutting the excess fat from your expenses.

DIY Wedding Invitations

DIY isn't always about saving money, in fact in some circumstances, going down the path of DIY can become more expensive then simply purchasing something pre made. DIY wedding invitations and save the dates could easily fall into either end: saving or spending more.

For my DIY adventure of making my own save the dates & wedding invitations, I knew I could/ possibly would fall into the 'costing more' side. But I was okay with that, as long as I gave it 110% and they came out looking remotely close to that of my favorite pre- made design I had found on Google.

In total I have spent $90.00 which includes the following:

30 +  Save the date cards and envelopes
30 + Wedding Invitations and envelopes
Black Ink Cartridge for printer
Coloured Ink Cartridge for printer

Not only do I have all my wedding invites and save the dates done, I also have left over card and envelopes to include maps, accommodation and tourist information for all our outer-state guests attending. I had looked at hundreds and hundreds of Google images prior, to get an idea of what it was I was after and went from there.

Here's what I'd suggest if thinking about going down the path of DIY wedding invites/ save the dates:

Valentine's Day Glossybox: February

Fantastic coloured box, gorgeous love hearts card, cute pink 'safety stuffing.' This box is the perfect representation of Valentines day, it even came with cute candy!

I thoroughly enjoyed testing out all of the valentines day GlossyBox products that I received. Like many of you, I am in love with the Valentines Day appropriate colour of the box and secretly wish all of GB's boxes were this colour! I must mention that I am not paid for any reviews done of this blog and these are my honest opinions.

EYE have missed you!!

I feel awful. I've been a terrible blogger and I am truly sorry. If you don't already know, we recently moved two states to Victoria from Queensland. Not temporarily, this trip is for good (that's the plan.) So everything as you may imagine, has been...hectic!!

Our Internet is officially working now, I like to think I am somewhat tech minded. No where near as close to what my fiancee is capable of doing but not technologically retarded either. So after a trip to the electronics store and another trip to Kmart, everything is plugged in, corded up and ready to go. Yee-Ha!

I should also note I have new glasses. They're a lot bigger then my previous two pairs and as such, give my face a completely different look, some may argue too big... they may be right but I am utterly in love with my huge specs. What do you think?

The brand is Red or Dead, I also got a pair of Ray Ban look-a-like sunglasses (prescriptions) to help with my problem of not being able to wear any form of eye protectors when driving. After these glasses I am going to trial contacts for a few months. I've got two weddings this year and I just want to have the opportunity to be glasses free for 2 days out of the year...and still be able to see.

Also make sure you keep an eye out for my February Glossybox review too. I was absolutely impressed with the contents this month and enjoyed thoroughly testing them all out.

My favorite product by far would have to be my Proactive cleansing wash, my hormones have been out of whack lately (I blame copious amounts of stress) so my skin's been breaking out like nobodies business, yet after using proactive, it's dried out the pimples and helped them heal much quicker. And nope, I am not paid to say that.

Whilst out and about today for coffee and lunch I also dropped into Priceline and scored myself this cute little L'Oreal package, already a bargain at $39 it was down to $15. It's AH-MAZING. I love the lip colour (shiny grapefruit), the eyeshadow shimmer (hourglass beige) and my new 4D mascara (it's a must if you're not a fan of fake lashes.)

I must say though, I really am lacking in warmer clothes, even my jeans are built for summer. I'm more of an online shopper at heart so it'll be easy to shop around without getting physically exhausted haha, I don't often like walking around the shops unless I've had caffeine, than I am on a mission.

Well that's it for me lovelys but be sure to check out my Feburary Glossybox Review very shortly.
