An Exciting Announcement!!

I have something very exciting to share with you all, but for those who may be thinking the B word (baby) well you can just go ahead and stop that.
It's not THAT B word.

In a few short weeks (maybe much less, but we'll have to see) I will be revealing my brand spanking new blog!!

My new blog will be based on my great love of all things Organisation, you can simply sit back with a nice beverage (coffee is my choice) and read up on my organising adventures or maybe join me on a project or 3.. or 5! I promise, no previous experience required!

I like to think I am a some what organised person, I mean.. I do have 2 small children, 1 husband and 5 Filofaxes...which will all be discussed about on the new blog ;) but I am always open to learning new ways to better organise myself, my family and my home

If you are too, than be sure to stay tuned for another update on my new blog very soon!!

My Filofax Finsbury in Antique Rose: Pocket

My Finsbury Family is almost complete!

I was beyond words ecstatic when the hubby gave the I won't hold it against you, as I know you have an addiction/ passion for planners look of approval... you know that one right?

My Birthday is 3 days after Christmas, I may have mentioned that once or twice on here ;) For those two very special occasions, I have asked the hubby to get me the two remaining sizes in my 'other family' and by get me, I of course mean: let me hunt them down and buy them please!

Who doesn't love early presents?!

I extremely lucky to get the very last Pocket available on the only website I came across that still stoked the Antique Rose collection (as it's another of Filofaxes discontinued line) After just 2 days 'she' arrived and without further a-due...

The colour is a little more 'intense' than that of the personal, in darker lights it seems the Pocket is significantly different in colour. All in all, it's a beautiful planner.

Hopefully you can get an idea of the size difference between the Personal & Pocket.

There's no laying flat for this Pocket, but after watching a few YouTube reviews I was well prepared and accepting of this :)

WO2P layout

Another example of how small the Pocket is :)

And then there was 3 :)

As for the Mini... well that's for another post ;) stay tuned

Home Office Desk Tour!

I just want to start this post with a tremendously loud HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY!!! To my beautiful son Jett xoxox

We are currently still on holiday/ honeymoon time, but I wanted to share with you all a tour of my desk space. This is where it all happens! Infact, I'm sitting at that pink chair below, right now, typing this *mind blown ;) *

My desk was calling out for more organisation, so feeling rather inspired by a few Pinterest Images and YouTube videos, I set out to make over my desk.

I didn't think to take before photos, but if you can imagine a lot of items that didn't belong on my desk, placed all over my desk.. than that's just how it looked :)

I love owls, so I keep just a few around the two smaller owls are actually salt and pepper shakers ;) I also have a fondness for Filofaxes (incase you didn't already know) and keep them all at my reach.

My Domo cup is from a Domo show bag that my Husband (no more hubby to be!) brought back from the EB Expo he went to this year, I am a bit in love with Domo and he houses my iced coffee's etc when I'm hard at work blogging, emailing etc while the kids are napping.

I bought all of these purple boxes from Kmart for quite cheap, they house all of my Filofax goodies that I use for decorating. I have a post on this, so be sure to keep your eye out.

In my top left drawer, I house a few different items. I have put blue tack on the bottom of both white containers to stop them from moving about when I open the drawer.

I also keep some of my sewing fabrics in a drawer, mainly to keep away from the little but very grabby fingers of my soon to be 1 year  old.

I LOVE neat stationery!! I keep all of my pens, highlighters and misc. items neatly sorted in drawers that I have also blue tacked to the drawer to avoid them moving about.

I also store my zippers in lunch bags, assorted by colour and neatly placed in the bottom drawer of my desk. Again this works great as they're away from grabby little fingers, but also neatly away and not looking super messy somewhere else.

Ah, my Filofax/ planner drawer. In here I use empty Filofax boxes to store planner refills, and planners that are currently not in use. I am currently selling two more of my planners, so for now they are housed in here.

The other drawer (to the right) holds spare computer items such as headphones and a mouse, as well as spare to do lists and CD's.

That's it! I hoped you enjoyed the tour of my desk, and be sure to check back in for a peek at how I organise all things Filofax Decorating!

I'm Getting Married Today!!

Whilst you're reading this, I am preparing for a beautiful day ahead.

As today, I am getting married!

These are a few snapshots from our engagement photoshoot!

Our wedding plans changed drastically this year (for the better I believe) and I am so much more pleased with how everything has turned out, as at the end of today.. I am still about to marry my best friend!

I am glad we are now here, right in this moment. To be honest, I really didn't find the planning of our wedding the most enjoyable task! However, now that this day has arrived, and everything is in place.. I AM SO EXCITED!!!

I have been on a cleaning/ re-organising mission prior to the wedding, and wanted to share with you all some of the spaces that have fallen 'victim' to my cleaning/ organisation spree.

So make sure you tune in next week to take a tour of a few areas in my house that I use the most :)

Filofax: Decoration Storage

My stationery collection has grown quite tremendously over the past few weeks, mainly thanks to my planner love/ addiction/ appreciation. I mean, who doesn't love a functional, yet beautiful planner?

Anyhoo.. I've been wanting to make my decoration 'station' a lot more accessible, as it's been living in my desk drawer all in one large box for quite some time and it was proving to be rather annoying (as you may imagine.)

Below is a picture of how I kept the boxes after taking them out of my drawer. I soon realised I couldn't remember straight away, what exactly I had in what box.. so out came some label making skills.

I like the bottom stacking a lot more than the above layout, however until I can memorise what's in where... I need to see labels!

I've blogged about how and when I sync my Filofaxes, (which you can read about here) and each time that I go through and organise the upcoming week, I like to both take my time, and yet make it as less of a drawn out process as I can.

So having everything ready to go, is very much appealing to me.

Washi Tape!
My collection has grown over the last week, thanks to a swap I did courtesy of Facebook. If you're reading my blog Tania, thank you once again for my beautiful stationery xx
I keep all my Washi Tape and most recently my Muji Stamp and Ink Pad in this box.

 Notes & Stickers!
This is the smaller, and generally animal-themed kind of sticky notes. I also have a few Martha Stewart Tear Drop Removable Labels in here too, these are used for my colour code system which I have blogged about here.

 Post-it's, Notes & Flags!
Look at all this beautiful stationery!! About 90% of this was all thanks to a swap I did and I am beyond words grateful for all this stationery goodness!! If you're like me and love stationery, maybe you can appreciate this too? ;)

Stickers & Paper!
Preeetttyyy self explanatory again, but this is where I keep my craft paper that I use to make DIY dividers in my Filofaxes, along with stickers used for decorating pages :) I also stash a roll of normal sticky tape and a roll of double sided craft tape in here... you know, just for good measure ;)

So that's how I store my Filofax decorating stationery! Stay tuned for a tour of my NEW Filofax Finsbury Pocket that'll be upcoming shortly :)

Juggling 5 Filofaxes

I've blogged previously about how I was once juggling 3 planners (click here) I've also covered on how I sync both my 2 current planners (here) and now.. I'm here to talk about 5 planners in action.

This is really just a rough draft of my layout, but by sharing this with you all it forces me to think again about each Filofax and their designated responsibility.

Firstly, Finny My A5

Primarily my Family Planner. Will have the most detailed notes (utilising all that space!) My family and I are wanting to buy a house in the future, so this will house all my inspiration/ magazine ideas etc too.
- My A5 is always at my desk and will stay this way for the indefinite future.

Penelope  #1 Personal

This houses the short hand notes of the A5 (see how I sync them here) but will also be primarily where I write MY personal care notes such as waxing, exercise routine (non existent at the moment) hair cuts etc.
- This will continue to be in my handbag.

Persy #2 Personal

My daughter starts Kindergarten next year and my son will be 1, so I really want to stay on top of all their dental, doctors, general appointments etc.

I'm also teaching my daughter letters, numbering etc at home currently and want to keep a progression record of this, so having a planner to track of both my children's progress/ health etc is something I am willing to trial out for sure.

- This planner will be housed with my A5 on my desk

- This Finsbury (personal) is currently is transit, hence no picture :)

 (unnamed) Pocket

This year I made a promise to myself that I would teach myself to sew. I bought a sewing machine, became a member of Spotlight and have since become quite addicted to that feeling of great joy, when I hold something that I have just sewn.

This planner will house my fabric & acc. inventory list, plan out my upcoming projects and of course, keep track of how much I am spending on my sewing!

Affectionately will be called... Minnie the Mini

We are currently all digital when it comes to tracking/ mapping out our Finances, and it has been working a treat BUT I am definitely a paper and pen gal so I am wanting to have a 'back up' to the digital system.

I won't be using it as a wallet, just helping me track all OUTGOING and INCOMING $$

I am currently awaiting the arrival of this Filofax :)

5 may seem like a LOT, but I am willing to give it a try. I won't know what system is the best for me if I don't trial out a few :)

Make sure you tune back in on Monday, where I will be doing a size comparison of the A5, Personal &  Pocket :) (I'm awaiting the arrival of the Mini)

Until Next Time,
